We had a certain window of time that we could spend at the dealership. Only concern was that that window wasn't kept. The reason why our time frame wasn't kept was Team wanted to make the sale and did everything they could, including coming to a price that we could afford This just took a little longer than expected, but we still made it to our appointment, just in a new car. Jordan Adams was my sales person. I had no intentions of buying the day I visited the dealership but he still took his time with me anyway. I did end up purchasing a Highlander that day after he took the time to show me the ends and outs of every feature from bumper to bumper. He was not offended by my want/need to check the pricing he gave me against edmunds.com and even offered the dealer computer for me to do so. I felt like I got a very fair price on a very awesome vehicle and will send anyone his way that is in the market for a vehicle. Each time I have received outstanding customer service from Ron Jackson & Butch Falcon in Used Cars, Gary Passman in Service and Mike Graves in Parts. Ron and I test drove 3 TCUV's and I selected a Corolla LE. Ron quickly wrapped up the sales details with Butch and I then walked over to Miss Chris' office where we completed the paperwork in short order. Mike Graves had the extra key I requested cut and Gary Passman had it programmed and hooked on my keychain. Gary also had the minor issues regarding the clock, trunk lid and tire pressure monitor corrected before I returned to pick up the Corolla. A new safety sticker, full tank of gas and fresh wash was handled by Ron. I purchased my first Corolla in 1977 when Team was known as C.L. Adams. This is the 7th Corolla I have owned and the sales, service and parts experience gets better each time I do business with Team. Keep up the good work. This was the third new vehicle purchase I have been involved in over the past year. I do not find anything wrong in a Dealer trying to make a few extra bucks by offering additional dealer services or ad-ons. The thing I have a problem with is Dealers taking advantage of uninformed customers by making them feel they do not have the option to decline the offer. One Dealer tried to have my wife sign a form for additional services (i.e. window vin etching, nitrogen in tires, full tank of gas, cost of detailing vehicle, etc.) totaling $700 dollars after we had negotiated the price of the vehicle. Luckily I was able stop her before she signed. Most of these things are a part of the cost of doing business and should not be added to the negotiated price after the fact. Another dealer's financing manager added $300 to the purchase agreement and did not inform us of his action until we question it. It was added in between the other charges such as TT,L. It was for VIN etching. We were told that if we did not accept the charge, they would have to increase the negotiated price. Actually in this case, the price was not negotiated. It was discounted and clearly marked on the vehicle's windshield. It was their advertised price for the vehicle! This action is very unethical in my opinion. I was expecting the same at your dealership and was totally surprised when it did not happen. I was offered additional services by the salesman but at no time did I feel like I was being forced to accept or deceived in any way. From the moment I walked into your showroom and greeted by your receptionist I felt welcomed. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. The entire experience was pleasant. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Team Toyota. I live near Lafayette and only wish you were a bit closer. I am glad to see that there still are some honest car dealers around. Keep up the good work.
